Scholarships and Funding

The Wisseloord Scholarships are financial aid opportunities for students enrolled in the school’s courses and modules. The scholarships are intended to help cover some or all of the cost of tuition for eligible students who demonstrate financial need.

 

Terms and conditions

1. Eligibility

  • Open to students of all nationalities
  • Age limit (between 17 and 24 years old)
  • Enrolment in a program at the school
  • Satisfactory academic record

 

2. Application Process

  • Submit a completed application form, including a personal statement and proof of enrolment
  • Provide all requested documents according to the desired Scholarship.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation from music teachers or industry professionals.

 

3. Scholarship Award

The scholarship will cover full or partial tuition fees for the academic year (see the details depending on the Scholarship selected) The amount of the scholarship may vary depending on the individual’s financial need and musical merit based on the commitee’s decision. The scholarship is renewable on a yearly basis, subject to satisfactory progress and musical/career performances.

 

4. Deadline for Application

All materials must be received by June 1st at the latest.

 

5. Selection Process

A panel of team member of the Wisseloord Academy and professionals will review all applications and auditions. The panel will select the scholarship recipients based on musical talent, potential, and financial need.

 

6. Notification of Award

Scholarship recipients will be notified by August 1st. Non-recipients will also be notified

 

7. Acceptance of Award

Recipients must sign and return a scholarship acceptance form to the school within a week.

 

8. Use of Scholarship

The scholarship funds may only be used towards tuition and related fees. Recipients are expected to maintain satisfactory progress and musical performance Recipients are expected to be present to at least 85% of the classes, or them might have to refund partially or totally the Scholarship.

Full Course Scholarship

3 Emeritus Scholarships maximum attributed per year

The “Full Course” Scholarships are awarded to selected Wisseloord students who are involved in the “Full Course for Composers, Songwriters and Producers”. This scholarship covers 50% of the fee of the Full Course and is renewable for up to 3 years. To be considered for the “Full Course Scholarship”, students should provide the following elements to the selection committed:

  • A recommendation letter from a high school music teacher or a private music teacher or a music school teacher.
  • A recording from a performance (a cell phone video recording is acceptable), or 5 song lyrics fully written, or 3 music productions, beats, etc…
  • A motivation letter explaining why you want to joint he Academy, your financial situation, why you find that you deserve the scholarship.
  • A career plan and a business plan describing where you see yourself professionally in 3 years.

 

For the students living with their parents

  • Income overview of both parents.
  • Income taxes declaration of the parents.

 

For the students living by themselves

  • Prove of address registration
  • Declaration of personal income
  • Salary split or income taxes declaration of the previous year for ZZP’ers

 

Music business & entrepreneurship Scholarship
(10 scholarships)

This scholarship covers 60% of the fee of the Career Development & Industry network module and is renewable for up to 2 years.

The Music business & entrepreneurship Scholarship will be awarded according to the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need (Letter about your goals and situation, taxes rapprot of the previous year, Salary slips, and as much as you can think of…)
  • Participation in business activities, leadership roles, and satisfactory progress connected tot he Academy.

Mobility Scholarship
(3 scholarships)

The Mobility Scholarship is for students who would like to travel for a minimum periode of 2 months between campuses, in order to help the participants to finance some of the travel expenses and housing.

It will be awarded according to the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need (Letter about your goald and situation, taxes rapprot of the previous year, Salary slips, and as much as you can think of…)
  • Participation in business activities, leadership roles, and satisfactory progress connected tot he Academy.
  • Outstanding ability in applied music performance or composition or production.

Students who wish to apply for any of these scholarships should also submit the following materials to the Music Discipline Coordinator:

  • A letter of application addressing the student’s performance activity and ability, creative merit, and leadership or other contributions to the discipline;
  • A copy of the student’s ID card.

 

These awards will be distributed in 2 equal parts at the start and end of the school year as part of the recipient’s financial aid package.

Netherlands

WerktuigPPO

 

In the Netherlands, the Dutch citizens can get 1/3 of their studies up till 2000€ funded by the WerktuigPPO.

This fund is reserved for participants who can already attest of some professional music activities or for people who are looking for a professionalisation or reconversion of career. You can find more info on the website https://werktuigppo.nl/

ALLIANCE FRANCAISE

The French alliance has several programs of funding for dutch citizens who would like to go study on our campus of Paris.

This includes 5000€ funding for the study costs and a scholarship of 700€/months for travel and housing costs witha. maximum duration of 10 months.

AFDAS is covering up to 100% of the courses costs for all musicians that have the status of “INTERMITENT DU SPECTACLE”

POLE EMPLOI can cover a part of the courses costs for the people allegeable for their funding programs.
